damn, those are some nice contracts.

Aranedo contract is just: $4/4.5/5/5.5/6

40% first year, minimum $2
20% after that = $0.40 raise, rounded up to $0.50 per year

Also. Slade Heathcott, Justin O'Connor, and Renato Nunez are forced call-up/drops due to age. What would you like to do with them?

Are you sure on Nunez? He's born in 1994. O'Connor should still be good too. I'll drop Heathcott.

RFA's dropped include

Curt Casali
Carlos Ruiz
Jimmy Parades
Avisail Garcia
Odubel Herrera
Aaron Hicks

Thanks for pointing out the Arenado correction

I'm just going with Matt's spreadsheet calculations. I think we previously had a "max 6 years on the farm rule".

I'll leave them on there for now.

Ok, I thought we had them until they were 25. Danny drafted Nunez when he was 16. I don't think he would have picked him if he'd lose him at 22.

I swear we had discussions regarding removing the age/yearly limit on the farm. It may have been for anyone drafted after a certain year though. Am I crazy or did we discuss that at one point. I don't see the need to force callups based on age or years spent on the farm now that we have a policy that requires you to callup anyone who makes a tier.

we definitely changed the rule in 2013 but didn't grandfather it in for players drafted 2012 or earlier.

I'm fine with just not enforcing the 6 year thing. There are very few players who are still on a farm from the 2010 draft that aren't complete busts at this point.
