In a h2h fantasy leauge your h2h record against an opponent has nothing to do with how good your team is. It is just who is the luckiest. By doing the total points over the entire year, regardless of opponent, is best indicative on who has the better team.
If h2h is the tiebreaker then we are awarding the luckiest
If total points is the tiebreaker then we are awarding the better team
Then why do we have records. Just do total points then if that's the case. Just to be clear I really don't care wich way you guys go but I highly disagree. If I'm correct isn't head to head the first tie breaker in most sports.

Do you mean pro sports? Like, real life? Cause in real life, yes, in the NHL, head to head is important. Thats cause those 2 teams actually played against each other.
In our world, my guys didnt beat your guys in a TRUE HEAD TO HEAD MATCHUP. It was just that day, you scored 39pts, and I scored 38. You didnt defend against my score, like in real life. I didnt score on your defence, I just scored some fantasy sports.
Head to head is meaningful in real life, when its a true matchup. In fantasy sports, I dont see it as anything other than a luck of the draw schedule wise.
I find this discussion interesting, I've never seen people argue head to head in fantasy as more meaningful than total pts. Not suggesting your crazy/wrong, just a very different opinion then I would have assumed most would have. No offence.
Arp I understand what your saying. But my stance is its a head to head league not a point league. I personally prefer a point league cause the really teams usually win at end of year. But head to head leagues gives the lower end teams a chance to win. Just use me as an example in the ahl last year. I had no business winning what I did last year.
But either way is good with me. And keep in mind I would own all the tie breakers if it was decided by points. But I still think it should be head to head.
****ing lame. Right now. Bulls are down and look like they will lose barring some last minute heroics. Or my math is horrible.
Danny and I are tied 50.5 to 50.5 and he wins with a tie. I have Gordon, he has Perez. I lose and Bulls win the regular season. If I win and Hurricanes hold on then it goes down to the last day of the season.
I am going to bed. I am on monkey tilt over this right now. I had a 12 pt lead an hour ago. ****!!!!!!!!!!!
HOLY **** A HR~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd of the GAME!!!!! HOLD ONE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to the regular season champion Bulls, winner of $100. I assume I should send that now, because you are getting knocked the **** out in the playoffs?
congrats to the guys who made the playoffs. Im a little stunned I didnt make it, but I guess getting swept for 5 in a row when the division title is on the line was all the proof I needed that I wasnt firing on all cylinders. going 4-11 in last 15 didnt help either.
Tough luck Arp. You definitely had a playoff calibre team.
I'm really pumped to win the regular season title! After two years of mostly sucking, it's nice to see some rewards for all the time I put into this pool. I am definitely running on the plus side of variance, as I'm not the top team in this league by any means of measuring, other than the actual h2h standings. I've also gotten lucky with a few of my trades and free agent pickups. Guys like Trumbo, Rasmus, Prado, Posey, and Reddick have all far outperformed expectations this year, plus a big turnaround for my highest paid player, David Wright.
I'm running into some injury trouble here with Lawrie, rasmus, Morrison Out. My Bench depth is really thin going into the playoffs. Hopefully this mini slump I've been on doesn't carry into the playoffs.
I am still a bit bummed that I didn't win the regular season. I really wanted it and chasing it made this season more fun than the rest. I tend to falter each year in the playoffs so it was my shot at succeeding this season.
