isnt there only 5 games left? JP+I are tied as it stands, and we play each other 5 times, essentially starting the playoffs this week for us. (and you two)
unless your counting us tieing a game, but even then Im not sure how its a true 4way tie.

Yeah, it was taken into account ties. But I think I am wrong. I thought if you guys go 2-2-1 and we go 3-2 in my favor, that it would be a 4 way tie but on second thought, maybe not :). My head hurts

Just in case Whalers and I tie, it would come down to... head to head, I think we were 5-5

next tiebreaker is points for in H2H matches

I have 423.50 and he has 365.50 so I think I have tiebreaker vs Whalers just in case we tie.

edit: surprised we don't reference total points at all.

wow, we split 5-5, but you beat me by nearly 60pts? lol

This is going to sound like sour grapes now that I know this, but can someone explain to me the logic of head to head games and/or pts vs total pts on the year? Isnt total pts on the year a much worthier accomplishment? I think we should change this for the future, no matter how rare it may be.

ps- thanks for looking that up Matt, I was wondering who had our tiebreaker. This is gonna be a sickening weekend.

Then why do we have records. Just do total points then if that's the case. Just to be clear I really don't care wich way you guys go but I highly disagree. If I'm correct isn't head to head the first tie breaker in most sports.

We can definitely change it. We didn't do total points because those were done before we had Matt calculating them, and we figured h2h points would be way easier to look up then adding total points for all year.

Unless anyone disagrees, it will be changed.

I doubt I'll beat Broadway one game this series. My team is terrible and I can barely field a full terrible team. Presley just got sent down, Betancourt just got sent down, Cuddyer is on the DL, etc.

Just to be clear, I understand thats how the rules of this pool work. I just disagree.

In my opinion, the tiebreakers SHOULD be:

1. total pts on year

2. whatever else

I think randomly picking the 10days that the two teams played against each other is a crappy way to settle a tie. I can understand that in real life, but this is fantasy sports. The overall whole year strength of one team vs another should settle ties in the standings.

somehow, due to luck of the schedule, we end with the same record overall.

I fail to see how I'm not the better team, even with the records factor.

I think one is about the production of your players while you were playing, the other one is mostly about luck.

I have a bias against this, cause I always believe in most pts=best team.
