I think Josh got confused with the butler buyout. That eats up $3.50 of your available cap, but does not reduce your maximum cap.

yeah I think trading the cap at this point is out.

I'd say you and Jay have 3 options:

1. Move cap to different year
2. remove cap from deal
3. Void trade

Yeah that makes sense.

Because it was my screw up, I'm definitely not going to void the deal. If Jay is willing to give it to me in a different year then we will do that, otherwise I will just drop it from the trade.
