OFFICIAL POLL: How to determine draft order for dispersal draft?

Givens: Koji and RC are going to have the first 4 picks. We will flip a coin for the first overall selection, and the draft will start with the following order: 1,2,2,1. They will each get to draft 1 player from his roster and 1 farm player. The contract for the roster player will be kept intact for all years.

 

The rest of the teams in the pool will receive one asset each, either farm or roster player. We haven't decided yet whether the contracts for roster players will extend beyond this season.

 

The purpose of this poll is to decide how the remaining order will be set for the dispersal draft.

 

Option 1: Reverse order of last season's regular season standings

Option 2: Reverse order of cumulative regular season standings from the last 2 years

Option 3: reverse order of cumulative regular season standings for entire 4 year history of the pool. This would be the total of each franchise, including previous owners/iterations of the franchise.

Option 4: Random draw to determine order

disclaimer: in the event that "random draw" receives the most votes but less than 6 in total, we will have another poll with just two options: the highest vote getter among the "reverse order" categories, and Random Draw. I don't want the votes for a merit-based order to be spread thinly amongst the 3 options, and random draw to squeak out a win if only a few people actually want a random draw.

Sorry for the lack of participation. Not used to checking a forum for a league, I'll get on that. Definitely caught up now. Looks like most is already been decided.

One thing I might add, I did take the much worse team between RC and I. Before I even looked at DG roster, I thought it might be fair for me to get to decide if I wanted to go 1st or 2nd, rather than a random/chance coinflip.

 I think you might be getting confused with Napoli Ever After.  I (Reverse Cowgils) took over a team last year, not this year.  You and Scott (Pawtucket Perennials) are the owners that picked teams this year.  Scott's team gets just the 1 pick since he chose the much better team.

Thanks for responding!

Looks like we are all set. I have a playoff draft to get to tonight, but I will take some time tomorrow morning and figure out the drafting order and get everything ready to go, we will start the dispersal draft tomorrow in the forum and hopefully wrap it up within a day or 2. Thanks to everyone for responding to the polls!

ok give me a few minutes and I'll try to get things set up quickly tonight. I'll just use random.org to "flip a coin" to determine #1, then go from there.
