Ha you are fine. I wasn't posting this with the expectation that this would be changed immediately. Just for my own calculations and to make sure everything matches up whenever it is edited on the main sheet.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have to wait til after the draft to drop these guys without having to buy them out. (for anyone who doesn't want to look at the sheet they are signed for 2014 and FAs in 2015)
at least that's how we handled it here http://fcpbl.activeboard.com/t52746897/rofb-contacts/
I'm fine with that if it is indeed correct, but I feel like we should update the rules to spell this out in a clear manner. I just read through the rules, and unless I'm completely missing a part discussing it(if I am just ignore this), the only thing it says is
"If you drop a player that is in the final year of his contract, you are free of his salary. However, if you want to drop a player that has 1 or more years remaining after the current season on their contract, you must buy that player out for half of his contract, with the salary divided evenly across all years and any uneven quarters added to the earliest seasons."
Unless by final year it is implied that their final year doesn't begin until after the draft has taken place. Even if that is the case, I think that needs to be added in.
Just very confusing for someone who has never dealt with it before. I know we have new guys entering the league this season so I'm sure this would trip them up as well.

You're all correct! Technically, the season hasn't started until the roster freeze, but for anyone who isn't in the AHL/FCHL, that's not a normal assumption, so the rules should be more clear. I keep saying I plan on going through the rules, though now that I can't get on at my work computer, I'm not making any promises!
